Intervention Specialist Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies and assess a child’s unique needs
- Collaborates with parents, teachers, and relevant persons to create and implement individualized learning plans
- Maintains and analyzes each student’s behavioral records
- Performs consultations with relevant parties to address student’s special educational, behavioral, and social needs
- Acts as a supervisor to students during activities
- Advises other school personnel and colleagues on proper care of special needs students
Intervention Specialist Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
- Minimum of 1 year working with children with special needs
- Teacher’s license
- Passed the school’s criminal and employment background check
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Can work extended hours and weekends to meet with parents
