Custodians, also commonly known as janitors, maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of campuses, offices, dormitories, and other areas. They secure and keep a record of all cleaning agents, materials, and equipment. They work with the custodial team to ensure tidy, functional, and safe facilities.
Custodian Job Overview
In the custodian role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of all assigned areas. You will sweep and mop the floors and stairs, dust the furniture and walls, vacuum the carpets, and sanitize the bathrooms. You will report any issues such as broken lights, windows, chairs, and floors. Success in this role will be demonstrated by carrying out spotless cleaning and sanitary services, helping maintain classrooms, work stations, and rooms suitable for learning, work, and rest, respectively.
