We are currently searching for a Remote Azure Database Administrator:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement database instances for development and production environments in Azure Cloud.
  • Migrate application data from on-premises databases to cloud databases.
  • Monitor and maintain database security and database software.
  • Utilize Database Migration Services (DMS) tools to migrate data from on-premises to the cloud.
  • Perform daily maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support for production and development environments.
  • Provide on-call support for production databases.
  • Collaborate with Azure development teams to test, validate, and implement performance and resource optimization improvements.
  • Conduct database and application performance tuning.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes using Azure and traditional backup solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production-related database issues.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of database administration experience across Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Azure RDS.
  • 3+ years of experience in performance tuning, backup/recovery, scalability, and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting.
  • 3 years of IT troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.

Languages:

  • Advanced oral English.
  • Native Spanish.
