We are currently searching for a Remote Azure Database Administrator:
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement database instances for development and production environments in Azure Cloud.
- Migrate application data from on-premises databases to cloud databases.
- Monitor and maintain database security and database software.
- Utilize Database Migration Services (DMS) tools to migrate data from on-premises to the cloud.
- Perform daily maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support for production and development environments.
- Provide on-call support for production databases.
- Collaborate with Azure development teams to test, validate, and implement performance and resource optimization improvements.
- Conduct database and application performance tuning.
- Manage backup and recovery processes using Azure and traditional backup solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis for production-related database issues.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of database administration experience across Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
- 3+ years of experience managing Azure RDS.
- 3+ years of experience in performance tuning, backup/recovery, scalability, and capacity planning.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting.
- 3 years of IT troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
Languages:
- Advanced oral English.
- Native Spanish.
