Description
As Construction Team Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workplace construction projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards. You will play a key role in shaping and optimizing work environments that enhance employee experience, overseeing the development of high-complexity amenities that support their daily needs.
Working closely with the Workplace Design Team Lead, you will form a strategic partnership to align construction efforts with broader workplace goals for seamless integration into company operations.
You will also manage external project management firms and lead an internal team of engineers and PMOs to drive high-performance execution across multiple global projects. This role is based in Tel Aviv and requires frequent international travel to oversee workplace construction initiatives worldwide.
About The Role
- Oversee Projects from Planning to Completion: Lead workplace construction projects through all phases – from initial planning and design to final completion – ensuring high-quality execution, on-time and on-budget delivery, and full compliance with safety and building regulations.
- Develop High-Complexity Employee Amenities: Drive the creation of complex amenity spaces that support the full life cycle of employees, providing services and facilities that optimize their daily work experience and well-being.
- Align with Workplace Strategy: Work closely with the Workplace Design Team Lead as a collaborative partner, aligning construction efforts with our overall workplace strategy and design principles to create cohesive, functional spaces.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Workplace IT, Procurement, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure construction projects are seamlessly integrated into existing operations and future plans, addressing all technical, contractual, and compliance requirements.
- Team and Vendor Management: Take an active role in sourcing and selecting external consultants (e.g., architects, engineers, design firms), providing strategic recommendations, manage external project management firms and contractors to ensure quality execution of work, while leading and mentoring an internal team of engineers and Project Management Officers (PMOs) toward project goals.
- Global Oversight and Travel: Oversee an international portfolio of projects – this role is global in nature and requires frequent international travel to project sites. You will visit locations worldwide to supervise progress firsthand and ensure consistency and excellence across all regional projects.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on workplace or office projects.
- Expertise in managing external project management firms and consultants to execute construction projects efficiently under high timeline constrainment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, budgeting, and cost tracking for construction projects.
- Experience working with legal teams to construct & negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Proficiency in English (a must) with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership skills to supervise and mentor engineers and PMOs while ensuring seamless coordination with external partners.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing global construction projects across multiple countries.
- Familiarity with international workplace standards and cost optimization strategies.
- Strong ability to mitigate construction risks and proactively address project challenges.
