About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Academic Success Manager to take complete ownership of the student journey in one of three domains: Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or Cybersecurity/IT. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for a group of students, ensuring they remain on track, engaged, successful and happy throughout the program. By providing personalized support, guidance, and interventions when necessary, you will play a key role in helping students achieve their academic and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Journey Ownership: Take full responsibility for the success of a group of students, guiding them through their entire program experience and ensuring they are fully prepared for their future careers.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned students, addressing any issues or concerns they encounter throughout the program.
- 1:1 Student Meetings: Conduct weekly one-on-one check-ins with students (via Zoom) to monitor their progress, offer support, and provide feedback on their performance.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and evaluate student academic achievements and milestones, with a focus on ensuring they are on track to become career-ready.
- Retention & Satisfaction: Monitor student retention and satisfaction levels throughout the program, identifying any potential risks and working to improve the overall student experience.
- Intervention Support: Provide timely interventions in cases where students experience academic challenges, loss of progress, or difficulties completing the program.
- Success Strategy: Collaborate with the Academic and Support teams to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed, from mock interviews to job search preparation.
Requirements
Qualifications
Must-haves:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to monitor and track the progress of multiple students simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and interventions to help students overcome academic or personal obstacles, or in working in a customer/people-facing role.
- A passion for education and student success, with a deep commitment to helping students achieve their goals.
- High-level German and excellent English language skills.
- Full-time on-site work from the office in Berlin
Nice-to-haves:
- Proven experience in academic advising, student success, or a similar account management role, preferably in an educational or training environment.
- Basic domain knowledge in Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or Cybersecurity/IT, with the ability to understand and guide students through their academic journey in the relevant field.
