Our service and solution delivery starts with understanding each client's end-state, and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments.
BDR is sourcing for a UI/UX Designer developer to support a federal government client. The duties of this position can be performed virtually, and the contractor may work remotely from their home office, however they will be required to support EST business hours.
Sr. Technical UI/UX Developer
Role Overview: BDR is looking for a strong User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) developer who is passionate about user-centered web design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in designing and developing data-driven applications for developers and technical staff in a data integration/syndication environment. You'll collaborate with data scientists, developers, analysts, and system administrators to provide an essential application and service for data management.

Design
- Clearly articulate design vision through mockups and verbal explanation
- Collaborate with VA stakeholders across a range of disciplines
- Analyze complex systems for areas of improvement
- Experience creating user personas and designing intuitive interfaces
- Knowledge of full SDLC and/or Agile development
Tools and Technology Stack
- Languages and technology: Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML, SQL, JSON, Git
- Design: Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite
- Other software/platforms: GitHub, VS Code
What you'll bring to the position
- Solid grasp of information architecture principles and business processes
- Usability research and user testing
- Client interviewing and requirements gathering
- Knowledge and experience with test-driven development (TDD)
- Data visualization design
- Effective communicator
Requirements
- Proficient in UI/UX design
- Portfolio of UI work required upon application
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- BS Degree: Computer science or other technical discipline (relevant experience may be substituted for education)
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Prior, successful experience working remotely
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
