BDR is seeking a Test Engineer to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual's home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Test Engineer to play a crucial role in a Hybrid Agile development team. Embracing a DevSecOps methodology, the Test Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and executing comprehensive testing strategies to validate the performance and security of the ServiceNow platform and its integrations. This role demands a meticulous approach to creating and following test plans, procedures, and scripts to uncover defects and ensure that the platform meets all operational requirements and federal standards for IT services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all features and integrations.
- Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring they accurately mirror production configurations for reliable testing outcomes.
- Employ various testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing, to validate the functionality and performance of the ServiceNow platform and related IT hardware, software, systems, and networks.
- Develop and implement test automation strategies using appropriate tools and technologies to increase efficiency and coverage of testing activities.
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment practices, working closely with development and operations teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle.
- Create detailed test reports, documenting test results, and identifying defects and issues with clear steps for reproduction and resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing objectives align with business needs and project goals.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to development teams to improve product quality and user experience based on test findings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices in the industry, including advancements in ServiceNow platform testing.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check and receive a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a preference for candidates who have experience with the ServiceNow platform or similar enterprise management systems.
- 8 years relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- ITIL v3 and/or ITIL v4 Certification(s) is a plus.
- ServiceNow Certification is highly desired, showcasing a deep understanding of the platform and its capabilities.
- Proficiency in various testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, acceptance) and familiarity with test automation tools and practices.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, document, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The Test Engineer will be essential in ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing enhancement of the ServiceNow ESM platform within the Federal agency. Through diligent testing and quality assurance practices, the successful candidate will contribute significantly to the agency's mission of modernizing its IT Service Management processes, ensuring a high-quality, reliable, and secure IT environment.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required.
