BDR is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual’s home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining servers, storage and network systems to include installs, configuration upgrades of server hardware and software.

Responsibilities

·        Manages and maintains servers, storage, and network systems

·        Installs, configures, and upgrades server hardware and software

·        Ensures systems are running efficiently and securely

·        Monitors and manages network infrastructure, including firewalls

·        Implements and maintains network security measures

·        Maintains security protocols to protect data and systems

·        Updates and patches servers and software to mitigate security risks

·        Implements disaster recovery and backup solutions.

Required Minimum Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, or other related discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)

·        5+ years of experience and other qualifications

·        5+ years of systems administration including installs, configuration and upgrades

·        Previous experience with firewall and network security

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.

In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
