BDR is seeking a DevSecOps (CI/CD) Engineer to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual’s home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview

We are seeking a DevSecOps (CI/CD) Engineer to contribute to our Software Development and Support program. This position requires a dynamic professional who is adept at using automation to improve the efficiency of development pipelines, ensuring the delivery of secure, high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced federal agency environment.


Responsibilities

·        CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated and seamless deployment of software solutions to the ServiceNow platform.

·        Security Practices Integration: Embed automated security tools and practices within the CI/CD pipelines to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with federal security standards.

·        Automation and Efficiency: Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline build, test, and deployment processes, reducing manual intervention and improving code quality.

·        Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with software development, security, and operations teams to promote a DevSecOps culture, facilitating the sharing of best practices and enhancing team collaboration.

·        Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and manage monitoring tools to track the performance and security of applications, providing reports and insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.

·        Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain up-to-date documentation of DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines, sharing knowledge and best practices within the team and across the organization.

·        Professional Development: Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and security, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and improvement of the program’s practices.

 

Required Minimum Qualifications

·        Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check and receive a Public Trust clearance.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

·        6-8 years relevant experience.

·        8 years additional experience in a relevant field may be substituted for education.

·        DevSecOps and CI/CD Experience: 3-6 years of experience in DevSecOps, with a solid background in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with experience in ServiceNow.

·        Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and familiarity with cloud technologies and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

·        Security Acumen: Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, automated security tools, and practices applicable to the CI/CD pipeline.

·        Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of quickly identifying and addressing challenges in the development and deployment processes.

·        Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

·        Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and evolving project requirements, with a keen interest in continuous learning and application of best practices.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications

·        ITIL v3 and/or ITIL v4 Certification(s) is highly desirable.

·        ServiceNow Certification(s) in various modalities is highly desirable.

·        This Mid-Level DevSecOps (CI/CD) Engineer position offers the chance to significantly impact the development and delivery of software solutions within a high-profile federal program. Your expertise in DevSecOps practices will ensure the secure, efficient, and successful deployment of applications on the ServiceNow platform, contributing to the agency’s mission and operational goals.


In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
